The first known record of the Huntington's Disease was in 1872. George Huntington wrote about a hereditory form of chorea which was exclusively on the east end of Long Island. Yet, the juvenile form was first decribed by J. Hoffman in his book Uber Chorea chronica progressiva, published in 1888. With data collected from a 3 generation family, he recorded two daughters ages 4-10 who shows rigidity, hypokinesia, and seizures.
